What a Gulfroot trade account actually means
Your account on file — once.
Submit your trade credentials once. After that, no re-verification on every call. You're in the system — Tyler knows your company, your typical specs, and your preferred delivery setup. No starting from zero each time.
Pricing and lead time stated when you call.
When you call on a species, you get the price, the available container sizes, the clear wood height, and the lead time — on that call. No price changes between quote and pickup. If material is unavailable, you get a substitution recommendation before you hang up, not a week later.
Job site delivery or yard pickup.
Delivery available to job sites throughout Lee and Collier County. We coordinate delivery timing with your installation schedule — not ours. Large orders can be staged at our Alva yard. Yard pickup available 7 days per week by appointment.
Book it. Material holds when you commit.
Specimen material moves. If you're speccing a 65-gallon Bismarck palm for a project in 30 days, we can hold it when you commit — not just when you write the PO. Availability uncertainty is the most common complaint about SWFL plant sourcing. We work around it.

Delivery & account terms
What you should know before you call
Delivery radius
Lee County and Collier County — Fort Myers, Cape Coral, Naples, Bonita Springs, Estero, Marco Island, Immokalee. Charlotte County available for larger orders. Contact us for projects outside this range.
Lead time
In-yard inventory: same-day or next-day pickup. Homestead pull: typically 5–10 business days depending on species and container size. Specimen material (65G+): 1–3 weeks with confirmation from grower. We tell you the lead time when you call — not after you've already spec'd it.
Minimum order
No formal minimum for trade account holders. Delivery minimums apply — call for current threshold based on delivery zone. Pickup at the Alva yard has no minimum.
Substitutions
If your primary spec is unavailable, we give you a substitution option on the same call. We don't tell you the plant is gone after you've already told the client. Standard substitution suggestions are included in every species page on this site.
Pricing
Volume pricing for trade account holders. Prices are not published — they vary by species, container size, and order volume. The price quoted is the price you pay. No adjustments at pickup. For large orders (10+ of a single species), call for project pricing.
Payment
Payment due at pickup or prior to delivery. Net-30 terms available for established accounts. Contact Tyler to discuss terms for recurring project accounts.
Why it matters
Direct from Homestead.
Not through a distributor.
The material most SWFL contractors receive has traveled: Homestead grower → regional distributor → staging yard → delivery truck → job site. Three to four weeks in transit, two or three handler changes, and root systems stressed before the plant is in the ground.
Gulfroot pulls directly from the growers. The plant that left Homestead on Tuesday is available at our Alva yard by the weekend. For contractor projects where first-season establishment directly affects warranty calls and client satisfaction, the sourcing chain is not a marketing detail.
We work with 11 Homestead nurseries. If a species is available in South Florida at contractor scale, we can source it — without the markup layered on by every intermediary between the grower and your install crew.
