Why Contractors Come to Gulfroot
Pink Tabebuia (Tabebuia heterophylla / Pink Poui) at field-grown specimen scale has virtually no local SWFL supply. The species is known to estate designers — it blooms December through February, the peak of season, on completely bare branches — producing a canopy of pure pink that is one of the most dramatic landscape moments available in South Florida. TreeWorld Wholesale in Homestead carries it; local distributors do not. This is a species contractors have to call Homestead directly for, or come through Gulfroot.
SWFL Field Performance
Zone 10a–11. Full sun. Low water once established — one of the more drought-tolerant flowering trees available. Deciduous during bloom (bare branches with flowers only — no foliage during the peak show). Blooms December–March in SWFL, precisely during the estate show season. Fast-growing at 3–5ft per year. Salt tolerance moderate — protected coastal settings.
Direct from Homestead — not through a distributor.
