The Babcock Ranch Requirement
The 75% Rule — What It Actually Means
Babcock Ranch requires 75% of your required trees and 75% of your required shrubs to be native species. That is not a suggestion — it is in the Design Guidelines published by LRK Inc. and reviewed by the Architectural Review Board.
When you submit a landscape plan for ARB approval, the reviewer checks your species list against the approved native plant guide. Every tree and shrub must be accounted for. Non-compliance means revisions, delays, and re-submittal fees.

Direct
sourced from Homestead, FL — not a distributor
Rock & Rose carries both the native species that count toward your percentage and the non-native approved species that round out your landscape design. We source direct — meaning better selection and fresher stock than most Charlotte/Lee County nurseries can offer.
