SWFL Field Performance
Zone 10–11. Full sun to part shade — adaptable to lower light than most outdoor specimens, making it useful for covered terraces and semi-enclosed courtyards. Low water once established — one of the most drought-tolerant large specimens in cultivation. Low salt tolerance — inland and protected coastal sites only; not for exposed beachfront. Very slow growth rate; specimen material represents significant growing time. Not cold-hardy — coastal and southern SWFL only. Not suitable for Babcock Ranch or inland frost zones.
