Why Contractors Come to Gulfroot
Cocos nucifera is the most recognized palm in South Florida and consistently spec'd on coastal estate projects. The challenge isn't availability — it's securing consistent trunk heights and forms for matched sets. Volume orders from a single distributor frequently can't match trunk character. Homestead direct sourcing allows contractors to view and select material before it ships north.
SWFL Field Performance
Zone 10b–11 only. Full sun. Moderate to high salt tolerance — a natural choice for beachfront and waterfront projects. Requires well-draining soil. Not cold-hardy — not suitable for Alva, Fort Myers, or Babcock Ranch inland areas where frost occurs. Optimal zone: Naples south through Marco Island and the Keys. Fast-growing in full coastal sun.
Direct from Homestead — not through a distributor.
The same plants installed on Naples estate builds by Precision Landscaping & Design.
