Why Contractors Come to Gulfroot
Dypsis decaryi (Triangle Palm) is immediately identifiable by its three-ranked leaf arrangement that creates a perfectly triangular trunk cross-section — no other palm replicates it. Retail nurseries carry small stock, but contractors who need specimen-scale Triangle Palms at consistent height for matched estate installations cannot source them through distributors. The SWFL trade angle is wide open. Gulfroot sources field-grown specimens through Homestead growers who specialize in architectural palms.
SWFL Field Performance
Zone 10–11. Full sun. Moderate drought tolerance once established. Moderate salt tolerance — suitable for inland and mid-coastal estate projects. Native to Madagascar; established in South Florida cultivation for decades. Grows to 20–25 ft with a distinctive horizontal frond spread. Not cold-hardy — coastal and southern SWFL only. Not recommended for Babcock Ranch or inland frost zones.
Direct from Homestead — not through a distributor.
